Sharing
One shopping list for everyone at home.
ShoppingListr gives your household one shared shopping list. Anyone can add to it from their phone or with Alexa, everyone sees changes within seconds, and it keeps working when the signal drops in the supermarket.
Free. No card. Nothing to install.
How sharing works
-
Set up your household
Create an account and a household. Your recipes, meal plans and shopping list all live in it.
-
Invite everyone with a link
Send the invite link to your partner, older kids or anyone else who shops for the house. They create an account from it and join your household straight away.
-
Add, tick and plan together
Anyone can add to the list, tick things off, change recipes or plan meals. Changes show up on everyone's phone, usually within a couple of seconds.
Questions about sharing the list
What happens if I lose signal in the supermarket?
It keeps working. Everything you add or tick is saved on your phone first and sent once you're back online, in the order you did it. A weak signal never empties your list, and a tick is never undone.
Does everyone need to download an app?
No. ShoppingListr runs in your phone's browser, so there's nothing to download from an app store. You can add it to your home screen, where it opens like any other app.
Can I send the list to someone who isn't on the app?
Yes. Share the shopping list, a meal plan or a recipe as a text message, or copy it anywhere else. The list is sent in the same order you see it, with anything already bought at the end.
Can I add things by voice?
Yes. Turn on the ShoppingListr skill for Alexa and link your account, and you can add items to your shopping list by voice. They show up for everyone straight away.
Who can change things?
Everyone in the household can add and tick items, add and edit recipes, and plan meals.
